October 17

 Today, Mr. Graham's class had music where we played beat detector. 

Library happened today. Please remember that you can have the books for 1 week! practice reading it multiple times and in different ways! Word scavenger hunts, covering up letters to help them sound out words, or even have students make their own stories with just the pictures!

Both classes had gym today where we played basketball and practiced throwing and dribbling.

In math we looked at number 7 and we practiced greater than and less than using the crocodiles. We finished off math with some math games.

In ELA we did some poetry and looked at the words "like" and "see". We also highlighted the sounds "ad" "ap"

In Circle of Me we had our students share their names and what was important about their names. Tomorrow they will share their favourite stories from home!

Tomorrow is fun snack. If you ordered a week in advance, your child will get a fun snack, otherwise they will eat 1-2 things that are packed. 

**Halloween is coming up and we will let you know what is going to happen for that day. In the mean time, we are asking for a few pumpkin donations for the classroom. If you are able to donate a pumpkin, we will be doing some science and math activities with it, and one of them involves taking all the "guts" out. After that day, the pumpkin can be sent home with your child which you can use to carve for Halloween night! Gut free!! We do the dirty work for you!
