Hello parents,

Today we did pumpkin activities such as we took all the seeds out of the pumpkins and we counted them. Some pumpkins had over 100 seeds. We counted the lines on the pumpkin, we measured how tall the pumpkin was, and we tested to see if the pumpkin sank or floated. Ask me about the pumpkin activities. 

In art, we painted out pumpkins that we drew yesterday. They turned out amazing!

We put on our costumes and we had a fun afternoon with different halloween activities such as rolling and drawing a monster, drawing a creepy carrot, colouring, drawing and word search. 

We had library today. Please read my books with me. 

In gym today we played Halloween games - like zombie tag, trick or treat and graveyard. 

Mr. Graham's class had music - we used boom whackers to play some music. 

Veterans Food Bank

The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary is a service provided by CALGARY VETERANS SERVICES SOCIETY, founded in August 2018, to serve food security and other resource needs of veterans from Calgary and surrounding area. The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary supports veterans who served in all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces, Reserves and first responders.

Copperfield School will be collecting food donations starting on October 30 through until November 8, 2023. If you can donate food items, it would be greatly appreciated. Items that are urgently needed are canned meats and chili/stew, ground coffee, flour, cereal, Kleenex, pudding cups, canned mushrooms, juice boxes, granola bars, cookies, rice, pancake mix, hamburger helper, plastic wrap, toilet paper, mac and cheese, and spices.
