Upcoming Field Trip April 10

 An email was sent to parents/guardians earlier today with the Field Trip form! 

We are going on a field trip…
Mrs. Nishimura's & Mr. Graham’s Grade 1 classes

Heritage Park 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary, AB

As part of the grade one social studies curriculum, we will explore how our families and communities in the present are influenced by events or people of the past. We will reflect upon the following questions for inquiry: In what ways has my community changed over time? Students will participate in 2 programs during their one day field trip to Heritage Park.

* The cost for the field trip’s program fee is $17.00 per student. Payment is made through your MyCBE Account (preferred) Payments that cannot be paid through your MyCBE account will require booking an appointment at the school office. No refunds will be issued for students that are unable to attend. Forms and payments must be returned by Tuesday, April 2, 2024 

 Students will be required to bring:
-Appropriate clothing for the weather (please watch the forecast!)
-A garbage-free, nutritious lunch, snack and water bottle in a suitable bag
-A backpack to store lunch, snack and water bottle

We are requesting 8 volunteers for the day to help facilitate the best experience possible for each learner. If you are interested in volunteering for this field trip and have a current CBE security clearance, please email Mrs. Nishimura at chdang@cbe.ab.ca or Mr. Graham at scgraham@cbe.ab.ca .
Volunteers must have completed their CBE volunteer paperwork and Calgary Police check through the school.

 9:00 Bus departs from Copperfield School
9:30 Arrive at Heritage Park, orientation and review of expectations, eat snack
9:30-11:30 Program 1
11:30-12:00 Lunch
12:00-2:00 Program 2
1:55-2:00 Load Bus and depart from Heritage Park
2:30 Arrive at Copperfield School
3:05 Regular dismissal
