April 22

 Hello Families,

We are currently working on our grade 1 assembly preparation. Mr. Graham's class is working on skits and Ms. Nish's class is going to read a story and sing a song. Ms. Nish sent home practice sheets with students who wanted to take part in the assembly. Please practice this as much as you can using a good presenter voice. You do not need to memorize it but just read it well.

In Math, we are continuing to work on math strategies.

In Science, we are learning about spring and different spring animals. We talked about Earth Day today and things we can do to help Earth. Ask me about them!

In ELA, we are learning about the "-es" rule. When you add "-s" to the end of a noun, it makes it plural. If the word ends in ch, sh, s, x, or z, we add "-es" instead of "-s". For example: boxes, foxes, inches, lunches, glasses.
